BR Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU) was established in the year 1982 is also known as Telangana Open University, situated in Hyderabad. The university aims at imparting education to women and working professionals who are unable to study full time course. The University has 117 study centres which are spread in all districts throughout the state. The Candidates should have to passed recognized Bachelors Degree Exam from the recognized University and also have the minimum three years duration with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of reserved categories) in the qualifying exam

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University, formerly Andhra Pradesh Open University, is a public university in the city of Hyderabad, Telangana, India. It is Situated on an elevated site of 53.63 acres (217,000 m2) in Jubilee Hills, the University Ground has the Administrative and Support Services Block, the Grade building, scholastic Branch and Library building, Study Material House, a narrow Open Plaza, a Conference Hall, and an Auditorium.
